Delbert Boone, Advanced Transportation & Intelligent Data Practice Lead
Delbert Boone brings over 30 years of leadership in advanced automotive product development, with expertise in launching iconic vehicles and pioneering autonomous and alternative energy technologies. His work includes leading global R&D teams, securing patents for ADAS L2+ technologies, and partnering with federal agencies & renown research institutions on automation, smart technologies & green infrastructure projects. In North America, Europe and in Asia, he has worked for and with such firms as Waymo, GM Cruise, Nvidia, Valeo, Sensata Technologies, Zoox, Mobileye/Intel, Bosch, and Continental, and with Joint Venture Silicon Valley, SAE, AmCham Shanghai.
Delbert’s innovations in new mobility and clean energy are helping GLDPartners to shape the future of transportation and freight logistics. For GLDPartners, he is building on his world-class training and experience to design and deliver high-efficiency logistics hubs and interconnected transcontinental systems. This work is via his coordination of a system of partnerships with technology and automotive industry partners, and leading transportation research institutes. Delbert is leading several applied research projects with support from the USDOT for the development of GLDPartners’ development of TradePort Corridors in the US. Via GLDPartners’ international project work, Delbert and the firm have advised global airport planners, investors, and owners regarding development of next-generation high-efficiency international air cargo logistics hub development in the Middle East, Europe and in the US.
Delbert received his training from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
