GLDPartners is pleased to announce that Dennis Lombardi has joined the firm as Maritime Logistics Associate.  Dennis will lead seaport projects in the GLDPartners Ports and Intermodal Practice in the US and in other markets.

Dennis has devoted his whole career to marine transportation and port related logistics. He has held senior leadership positions with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Romark Logistics, and several operational positions with ocean carriers.

Ports are specialized industrial properties and represent a vital node in international supply chains. Working with and managing ports provide for having a complete understanding of all global and local supply chain partners and the ability to negotiate in a highly dynamic environment. Dennis obtained his experience working on and with ships, managing and redeveloping marine facilities, negotiating leases, and running trucking and warehouse operations linked to seaports and airports.

In his seaport experience, Dennis has led efforts to reconfigure and redevelop port and intermodal properties, deepen shipping channels, develop new lease structures, implement creative cost recovery tariffs to recoup infrastructure and security investment, and acquire land and building assets.

Dennis holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.  Dennis is also a Pilot Commissioner serving the State of New Jersey on the New Jersey Maritime Pilot and Docking Pilot Commission and is a Director on the Board of the Maritime Association of the Port of NY & NJ.
