John Dugan, Associate Partner – Railroad and Intermodal
John Dugan is GLDPartners Associate Partner leading railroad and intermodal projects. John’s background senior experience in railroad company management as an officer of the BNSF Railway Company where he served in both domestic and international executive positions including as Chief Executive of its New Mexico subsidiary, Vice President of International and head of Mexico Operations. John has also been owner and principal of short line operator Arizona Railroad Group LLC, where he has served as CEO and Chief Operating Office.
Aside from a distinctive railroad business career, Mr. Dugan’s expertise includes past leadership roles in various community, governmental and industry capacities in which he has served as advisor and consultant to governors and other state officials in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas and Mexico. He has also been a board member or president of several city chambers of commerce (including the El Paso Chamber), planning commissions and developmental boards and is frequently called upon to represent other commercial, residential, industry and utilities interests in various capacities.
John is an alumnus of the University of New Mexico, the American University in Washington, D.C., where he studied Business Economics and ICC Transportation Law and the University of Southern California Institute of Business Economics.
