Yang Ming Marine Transport has signed a letter of intent with China Airlines in a bid to establish a strategic alliance on freight transport, passenger services and e-commerce.
Yang Ming said that the tie-up will lead to joint marketing and sales initiatives in both sea and air transportation. For example, the two will provide bonded storage warehousing for air cargo.

“The strategic alliance with China Airlines signals a new era for Yang Ming’s logistics services,” said Yang Ming chairman Frank Lu.
“It is also a significant innovation on cross-industry strategising that spans from sea to air transportation, from cargo to passenger services,” he added.
